Colts - A Major Blunder

I hate to beat a dead horse here folks but I couldn't resist the urge to vent my frustrations at the decision to forgo a potential perfect season, for the sake of saving players for the Superbowl run. What if they don't make it to the Superbowl? Then what? While there is no guarantee of the perfect season, at least there were two goals to strive for. Perfection and the Superbowl. Now there is only one possibility. How will the players react behind the scenes to the decision that robbed them of their chance to match the Dolphins and share a part of history. How will this manifest itself in their play going forward. Going forward, will they respect their leadership and lay it on the line everytime they step on the field? I wonder if the decision makers realize or care, that professional athletes don't play for ever. When a chance in a lifetime comes along that will put professional athletes at the apex of their profession, you don't deny them that opportunity. If they fail, well ...at least they tried. Final comment. If the Colts are fortunate to get to and win the Superbowl, it'll be bitter-sweet. There will always be that nagging question. Could we have won it all? What a shame! What a sad day for the players. What a sad day for sports fans.
